Mike Graves serves with one foot in the seminary and the other in the local church. He is the Wm. K. McElvaney Professor of Preaching and Worship at Saint Paul School of Theology and Scholar in Residence at Country Club Christian Church both in the greater Kansas City area.
Mike is a native of Houston, Texas, where he also attended the University of Houston. He attended seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, earning his Master of Divinity and PhD there before moving to Kansas City in 1989. He is a passionate golfer who now boasts of having played Saint Andrews in Scotland on several occasions. He also enjoys sailing, classical music, and of course reading. He and his wife have three grown children, two grandchildren, and several grand dogs.
